My passion for cars began as a small child, "tinkering on everything in
sight". I paid for my Masters degree in taxation, by operating a small auto
repair business out of my garage. During this time,
I worked on and rebuilt a variety of engines. It was then, that I began my
appreciation for the quality and reliability of Volvos. Although I left the
automobile industry to pursue my career as a CPA, I soon returned.
In 1998 my wife (Jill) and I (Paul) began Metropolitan Motors, LLC acting as
personal shoppers for our customers. However, it became difficult to find
quality cars with the options required by the discerning Northwest Buyer.
Therefore, to provide our customers with only the cleanest quality cars, we
changed our business model at the end of 1998 and began purchasing and
carrying a limited amount of inventory. Based upon customer demand our
selection soon grew to 40+ pre-owned vehicles, making us the premier
pre-owned Volvo independent dealership in the Northwest.
In response to the overwhelming loyalty and trust of our customers we again
felt the need to expand our sales facility in 2004 by purchasing a car lot
in the charming Green Lake neighborhood, a short distance from the popular
Green Lake park. This location provides us with the space for 80+ pre-owned
vehicles, a childrens' playground, sales office and room to grow.
The mission of Metropolitan Motors is to provide our customers with a level

owned and run business and we strive to run our dealership much like we do
our personal life, with the highest level of integrity.
